When planning your trip to Lancaster, make sure you include some time to stop by the Discover Lancaster Visitors Center to learn about all the services Lancaster County has to offer.

Having visited visitor centers all over America, we finally visited our local center and found friendly and helpful staff, a modern and spacious building which included an art gallery showcasing the works of local artists. The Discover Lancaster is an attraction in itself. Make this your first stop!

Virtual Tour of Visitors Center

While you're here, pick up attractions, dining, lodging, and shopping brochures, and gather plenty of information about other properties, services, and special events. Our friendly travel consultants are a valuable service in and of themselves, offering expert advice and suggesting restaurants, finding last-minute lodging or finding those special out-of-the-way places.

In addition, see the incredible craftsmanship of an authentic, operating Grandfather Clock. This cherry and mahogany tall case clock was made around 1810 by one of Lancaster’s most prominent clockmakers, John Eberman Jr. In addition to building traditional domestic clocks, Eberman also made massive public clocks. His most impressive one kept time for a century in the façade of the Lancaster County Court house and now almost 250 years old is still ticking away in the lobby of the National Watch & Clock Museum.

The Discover Lancaster is proud to present a new short film showing in our Visitors Center Theater. A Patchwork of Neighbors, depicts the essence of Lancaster County through personal stories told by locals. We even have exclusive voice over from an Amish person! This engaging film is the perfect way to understand the patchwork that makes up our dynamic destination. The film plays on a continuous loop during normal Visitors Center hours.

Art Gallery

Bruce Garrabrandt

Garrabrandt specializes in creating what he describes as "random acts of artistic nonsense"--whimsical colored pencil drawings designed to bring a smile. All his art images featured in the Discover Lancaster gallery are signed/limited edition work.

Christiane David Fine Art

With a personality as vibrant as her paintings, Belgium born artist Christiane David has taken art to a new level in Lancaster County. Christiane loves to go deeper into the world of color. Her ability as a colorist allows her to see color not usually perceived by the untrained eye.
