Sometimes traveling with kids is... challenging, but let me just say that boredom is so un-Lancastrian. From amusement parks to farmland fun activities, we're sure that every member of your family will have plenty to keep them happy. It's great to be able to spend the day doing farm fun activities, getting energy out, and then driving into one of our towns and having dinner at a locally owned restaurant.

Kid-tastic Outdoor Attractions

Lancaster, PA offers tons of fun things to see and do for all ages. Your kids will love our variety of attractions, from amusement parks and buggy rides to ziplining and local sports.

Enrich yourself and the kids with a fun-filled history lesson at Julius Sturgis Pretzel Bakery, the first commercial pretzel bakery in the country, or Mascot Roller Mills and Ressler Family Home, a historic and remarkably preserved water-powered grain mill.

Head out to Honey Brook, PA, and visit September Farm this working farm has been serving home-made specialty cheeses, milk, ice cream, and more! Their expansive property includes walking trails as well! If you're hungry after your walk don't worry because they have a sandwich shop on site!

When sunny skies are in the forecast, you're sure to find your kid-tastic outdoor adventures right here in Lancaster County.

Experience Farm Life

Best known for its Amish communities and farmland, Lancaster County is the place to experience life on a farm. Take in the fresh country air while your kids pet farm animals and learn about agricultural life.

Lil' Miniature Horse Farm and Eastland Alpacas give your little animal lovers the chance to pet and even feed tame very lovable animals.

Visit the Wolf Sanctuary in Lititz to have a chance to view wolves in their natural habitat and learn about their behavior and biology.

Strasburg provides a day full of learning about trains and even a chance to travel on a historic railway. If your vacation happens to be in June, September, or November, you won't want to miss Day Out with Thomas at the Strasburg Rail Road for your opportunity to meet the tank engine yourself.
