Indoor Things to Do in Lancaster, PA

Too hot or too cold? Not only does Lancaster have beautiful outdoor resources for hiking, biking, and exploring, we also have loads of indoor adventures as well. Come check out some of the locations below for activities that will keep you busy all day long.

Not all adventures are physical, some challenge your mind as well. See if you and your crew can solve all the clues and get out before your hour is up!

Go ‘N Bananas

You name it, and you can probably find it at Go ‘n Bananas. With their Ball-o-city, laser maze, mini-bowling, and indoor ropes course, spin zone, and laser tag, you can spend all day here with the kids.

Indian Echo Caverns & Echo Dell

So, this isn’t technically indoors, but at least it’s warmer. Down in the cave the temperature remains at 52 degrees Fahrenheit allowing you to engage your inner explorer. Check out what’s under the earth for a change of scenery- tours generally last 45 minutes.

Laserdome

Hands-on-House Children’s Museum

There is so much for children to explore at the area’s only museum for young kids. Check out their many exhibits including Marty’s Machine Shop, Space Voyage Checkpoint, and E-I-E-I-Know.

North Museum of Nature and Science

Learn about dinosaurs, watch a planetarium show, see live animals, and play with interactive exhibits! The North Museum is a great way to spark interest in nature and science while having fun!

Sky Zone Trampoline Park

Ever wish you could dunk like Mike Jordan or flip like Simone Biles, you can at Sky Zone (or you can at least try)! This indoor trampoline park is fun for little ones and adults alike, you can literally bounce off the walls. Sky Zone offers a number of activity options such as open jump, dodgeball, or fitness classes.

Escape Room Lancaster

Check out fun-themed escape rooms like Triassic Island, the 1980s, and others of varying difficulty and time!

Spooky Nook Sports

You don’t need to be a gym member to check out all the awesome indoor adventures at Spooky Nook. Being the largest indoor sports in America, there is plenty to do. We suggest you take on their 15-foot rock-wall, or try the obstacle-loaded Clip ‘N Climb course.

Tiny Town

Do you have little ones in tow? They need to burn-off energy too! Head over to Tiny Town for an adventure that they can create with their own imaginations. This indoor play-place for children is all hands-on created to inspire curiosity and creativity.

Lancaster Science Factory

Children can experiment and create as they learn the principles of science and technology. This interactive, hands-on learning environment is a great place to burn off some energy and exercise young minds.

Urban Air Adventure Park

Race in electric go-karts, play laser tag, ride along the zipline, try out the warrior course and more with Urban Air's adventurous park!

Round 1 Bowling & Amusement

Head out to Round 1 for bowling, arcade games, karaoke, and more indoor fun for the whole family.

Carlisle Sports Emporium

Known as the “place to play” the Carlisle Sports Emporium is perfect for ages 3 to 93 with indoor go-kart tracks, laser tag, roller skating, and arcade games there is plenty to keep you occupied.

Ticket to the Past—Unforgettable Journeys

A virtual reality experience run by the Gettysburg Foundation immerses you in history and introduces you to historic figures, bringing to life their important journeys associated with the Battle of Gettysburg.

Hit the Movies

Dinner and a movie in the same seat -- what more could you want?! Check out Reels Cinema Lancaster for 7 screens, heated luxury recliners, state-of-the-art laser projection, and new audio systems. Penn Cinema in Lititz is another great choice, see a movie and then hit the great town of Lititz.

New Holland Escape Room

Located 15 minutes outside of Lancaster City, this escape room is perfect for special occasions or a unique vacation experience in Lancaster County. The experience is based on the real Buzzard Gang, featuring their mugshots, letters, and the most creative jailbreak in Lancaster County Prison history. After your escape, you can enjoy a meal at the Lickity Split Restaurant, located right next to the escape room.
