The Herb & Garden Faire at Landis Valley Village & Farm Museum is Lancaster’s premier event for garden, plant, and history enthusiasts. Shop from over 70 plant vendors, find unique artisan-made arts and crafts, learn from horticulture experts, and take home a piece of history with rare Pennsylvania German heirloom plants. General admission rates apply; museum members receive free entry.

Sheep Shearing at The Amish Farm & House | May 9 and 10 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Experience farm life at The Amish Farm & House Sheep Shearing event! Watch sheep shearing demonstrations every 30 minutes from 10 AM – 3 PM. This is the perfect event for the whole family because admission includes access to a variety of kid-friendly events. Take a hayride around the 15-acre farm, get up close to farm animals at the petting zoo, and enjoy Amish chicken BBQ, ice cream, and soft pretzels.

Mother’s Day Brunch or High Tea at Strasburg Rail Road | May 10 & 11

The Make-A-Wish Mother's Day Truck Convoy has been a cherished tradition in our community for the past 35 years. This event not only brings together drivers, Wish families, and community members, but also raises vital funds to grant life-changing wishes for children facing critical illnesses. The Family Fun Fest beings at 9:00 AM and the Truck Convoy starts at 1:30 PM.

Painting with a Twist

Painting with a Twist is a perfect activity to do with your mom. Bring your own bottle of wine and settle in for a guided painting experience. On May 10 and 11, they have beautiful paintings prepared and they will walk you through how to create it yourself! At the end of the event, you and your mom have a masterpiece and special memento from your special day together.

The PotteryWorks

Paint your own pottery at The PotteryWorks
in downtown Lancaster. There are hundreds of pieces of paint-ready bisques to choose from. Mom’s even get 20% off on May 11th! One week after you paint, the pieces will have been fired in the kiln and ready for pick up.

Refreshing Mountain

Get outdoors and get active at Refreshing Mountain. Zoom through the treetops on the ziplines, try your aim at axe throwing, or test your balance and strength on the elevated obstacle courses.
