Venture out to one of the scenic trails in Lancaster County. The wide-range of distances and types can fill the entire month of hiking, biking, or running outdoors without taking the same route twice.
Need to get the kiddos out of the house? Lancaster County Central Park hosts kid-friendly programs that are the perfect combination of education and fun!
However you choose to spend your time in Lancaster this February, you'll be sure to have fun all month long! At the Middlecreek Wildlife Management Area, you can see snow geese as they make their annual stop in Lancaster County as they head back up north. Their arrival is unpredictable, but you can generally see them from the middle of February the beginning to the middle of March.
Visit the Speedwell Wolves in northern Lancaster County, a natural habitat for displaced wolves and wolf-dogs. Take an educational tour at the Wolf Sanctuary of PA to view the wolves in their natural habitat and learn about their behavior and biology.
Towards the tail end of February, mud sales will begin popping up around Lancaster county. Amish Mud Sales are a Lancaster County original tradition and refer to annual auctions or sales of Amish goods at a number of local fire companies. The sales attract thousands of people looking for bargains on anything from Amish quilts and antiques to lumber, buggies and lawn equipment.
