Historic Schaefferstown

Visit Historic Schaefferstown and tour The Gemberling-Rex House (c. 1758) where thirsty travelers were once served. Fascinating features of this one time tavern include a bar cage, 18th century wall stenciling, Franklin fireplace and more. We invite you to include in your museum experience a visit to our other two museum sites - the Brendle Museum and the Schaeffer Farm. Visit our website to learn more about these sites and our many annual special events.

Modest admission charge. The Gemberling-Rex House and Brendle Museum are open April 1 through October 4, Tuesday afternoons from 1 to 4PM. All three museums are also open the first Saturday of every month April through October from 10AM to 4PM. Or, call to arrange for your group or indivdual tour at other times.

Cash and Travelers Checks accepted. Sorry - no credit cards accepted at this time.
