Take an all-day train excursion on our Rail Diesel Cars made by the BUDD Company in the 1950's. On special dates we run all-day excursions with our Big T-1 Steam Locomotive #2102. The only one in operation in the Country! Bring back memories of your childhood and make new memories for younger family members.
Begin your journey boarding at the Reading Outer Station 3501 Pottsville Pike, Reading, PA 19605 and arrive at the very popular destination town of Jim Thorpe, named for one of the most famous athletes of the century! While in town, you can take another train ride into the Lehigh Gorge State Park, ride the trolley, have lunch at one of the many quaint restaurants, enjoy a cup of coffee or a scoop of ice cream at a cafe, rent a bike and ride along the Lehigh River on the D&L Trail, tour of one of several historical sites, shop for antiques, books, music, jewelry, clothing, alpaca items, candles, handmade shoes, eco-friendly items, stained glass, paintings by local artists, museums, enjoy beautiful Victorian and Stone Architecture and much more.
