The Amish Experience at Plain & Fancy Farm

The Amish Experience at Plain & Fancy Farm provides guided tours and experiences for visitors wanting to learn about and interact with the Amish community. Now through June 30, save big with a summer family package special. Flat fee of $120 covers up to 6 guests regardless of age for the Super Saver Package (Theater, Homestead, Farmlands Tour.)

In the Amish Experience Theater, “Jacob’s Choice” focuses on the Amish today through the eyes of the fictional Fisher family, with historical scenes re-created with multiple screens, special effects, and ghostly images of historical figures.

Also on-site is the Amish Country Homestead & One-Room School, the only designated Lancaster County “Heritage Site” Amish house tour. Guides explain the Amish way of life, one-room education, life without electricity, and Plain dress.

For 65 years, the Amish Experience has also provided the area’s original Amish Farmlands Tour, a guided shuttle bus tour that explores Amish culture up close at work and play.

Amish V.I.P. (Visit in Person) Tour - Unique, interactive visit to 3 Amish properties --- a farm at milking time, a craftsman in their workshop to hear about and observe a unique craft, and a visit to an Amish family for an informal chat right in their home.

A special meal-in-an-Amish home experience is offered Fridays and Saturdays April through October. Enjoy a guided back roads excursion, featuring an authentic Amish meal in an Amish family's home.
