The Barn at Silverstone
Built as part of the original 1000 acres farm, deeded from William Penn (now known as Silverstone Inn & Suites) and first settled in 1751 by the Evans Family, the early 1800's stone bank barn originally served to house the working horses in the lower stables area and store hay and feed on the upper floor to be fed through chutes down to the horses.
The full fieldstone gables have large ventilation slots which shows a mastery of masonry work. All original massive mortise and tennon beam work supports the barn and full slate roof to create a large open space with ventilation which served its use as a tobacco barn during the 1900's.
During restoration, all interior stonework has been repointed, all woodwork and beam systems has been preserved to create a beautiful reclaimed barn that provides climate controlled elegant open spaces for large events.
The lower stables area keeps it character by incorporating the original feeding troughs, chutes and gates into the décor and spills out into the courtyard area where it meets the rustic pavilion and Grand Limestone Fireplace.
The Barn Hall
The natural beauty of the Barn Hall complements any event, from a Rustic Wedding Reception to a Gala Banquet. The Barn Hall’s beauty comes from its exposed limestone walls with slotted windows and stunning restored floors, all original to the barn. Glass double doors have been added on either end of the Grand Barn, making an unforgettable first impression for guests. The finishing touches bring class to this rustic ambience with four striking chandeliers paired with up-lighting, to enhance the beauty of the exposed antique beams throughout the barn. Panoramic windows allow guests to overlook 15 pastoral acres with a Beautiful Pond & Stream, Rustic Pavilion, Grand Limestone Fireplace, and the award winning Silverstone Inn & Suites.
The Stables
The Stables exude a rustic ambience, with the exposed limestone walls, huge beams carved by hand, and original troughs. This area is beautifully restored for use as a ceremony site, cocktail hour hall or small party room. Uniquely renovated with both small and large events in mind, the Stables doors can be closed for intimate occasions or opened to allow the event to flow out to the Courtyard and Rustic Pavilion.
The Rustic Pavilion
Built from Reclaimed Wood and Limestone collected during the renovation of the Stone Bank Barn and overlooks the beautiful pond and natural spring sourced stream. With its Grand Limestone Fireplace and exposed wood beams, the Pavilion is a focal point of the courtyard. This unique area can host a ceremony, family and group photos, drinks and hors d'oeuvres, or be a gathering area during a cocktail hour.
