Christiane David Presents: A Celebration Of Plein Air Impressionism

With a personality as vibrant as her paintings, Belgium born artist Christiane David has taken art to a new level in Lancaster, PA. Her studio at Lancaster Art Vault is filled with an eclectic array of watercolors, acrylic, and oil paintings. Christiane's ability as a colorist allows her to see color not usually perceived by the untrained eye. She feels that color has a strong effect on our minds.

Whether it has an uplifting and positive influence, or a serene and relaxing effect, color can have a powerful impact on all of us. After studying architecture in Brussels, Christiane began a career as an interior designer but also continued her studies in oil and watercolor at the Academy of Art in Brussels, studying under famous painters Paul Delaux and Rene Magritte. Her abstract impressionist style was influenced by European Impressionists.
