Lancaster Zine Fest

Lancaster, Pennsylvania – Save the date for a unique celebration of DIY art and publishing in Lancaster. The 3rd year of Lancaster Zine Fest is coming on April 12th, 2025 from 12pm to 5pm at Southern Market located at 100 South Queen Street. This event will feature independent artists and writers showcasing a variety of self-published works. Discover the world of zine culture, connect with creators, attend family-friendly workshops and browse through a variety of zines and art items available for purchase.

Zines, pronounced “zeen,” short for magazine or fanzine, are self-published booklets that often feature alternative perspectives and collaborations. Zines have a rich history within

underground culture and provide a grassroots form of expression for artists to share their ideas with a wider audience. The Lancaster Zine Fest aims to provide a platform for this unique art form, celebrating and promoting zines and the authors and artists who create them.

The festival will feature artists from the entire East Coast offering a wide variety of zines and related merchandise for attendees to purchase. In addition to the vendors, the event will include free workshops on zine-making, comics, zines in disabled community, pop-up books, and writing for all ages, allowing festival-goers to learn about the craft from experienced creators.

The festival will showcase zines from all genres, including art, comics, poetry, music, politics, rpg, and more.

“What to expect for Lancaster Zine Fest year 3 - 2 floors of over 100 zinesters, some coming to Lancaster for the first time. You’ll get to see zines from every genre to start, or add to, your zine collection.”
