Manheim Township 5th Annual Groundhog Day Celebration
Event Details
The Manheim Township Parks & Recreation Department is hosting their 4th Annual Groundhog Day Celebration on Friday, February 2nd. The event is open to the public and begins promptly at 7 am at the Carriage House at Stauffer Mansion (1241 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, PA).
The event is family friendly, and free for all to attend.
There will be arts and crafts, hot chocolate, light refreshments, music, and an appearance and photo opportunities with the Manheim Township Recreation Groundhog mascot.
Last year, M.T. Parker, a life-like groundhog plush toy, saw his shadow and the prognostication called for 6 more weeks of winter.
“Winter or Spring? Manheim Township’s M.T. Parker is excited to make his prediction on February 2nd,” said Manheim Township Recreation Director, Matt Stopa.“ Come out to this once-a-year celebration and enjoy the festive atmosphere at Stauffer Park.”
Guests are encouraged to arrive early, with the prognostication occurring at sunrise.
