Medieval Music with Concordian Dawn

Event Details

Aug 25

Concordian Dawn, a six-member ensemble, highlights the female agency in medieval song through vocal music. Featuring Hildegard of Bingen’s morality play, Ordo Virtutum, this music dramatizes the battle for the human soul between 16 personified Virtues and the Devil. It is the earliest known morality play by more than a century. The program also features 14th-century French music.
